Subdomain, is it spam or not?

Checking on gumtree and local searches, gumtree has subdomains like london.gumtree.com, oxford.gumtree.com and etc. Considering this, i did same for my website to show local singles to my members using subdomains for all UK city names. I am not indexed yet but possibly will be in a short time as google considers subdomains like a new domain.

My pages and their content are not duplicate as there are profile pictures and messages but titles are similar ,just the city name changing.

Is this considered spam? If it's, how is gumtree, match.com and similar sites are getting away with it?

    Many thanks

If the content is unique, then it's not spam.

Yes it is unique, just title and meta description and page headings are similar with only city and county names changing. For the past 9 months, google somehow dropped these deeper pages from the index although there are good quality pr5-pr4 back links to them so I've decided to place them in a subdomain for google to index them.

Subdomains are treated like an entirely independent domain.

They are not connected to the main domain by SEs unless you link between them.

    Be$t of luck!
