    Hi all,
I want to create website for 20 related sites. Can I go as per sub-directory vice or sub-domain would be a better option in the SEO point of view in Google. Please give your opinion and why it is better.

    Thanks in Advance.

I don't think it makes a lot of difference these days. If you go the directory route choose good URL names as you would have done with subdomains.

It dose, Google treat sub-domains as an entire different website.. so if your content is related to your main website content then go with a sub-directory otherwise go with a sub-domain ;)

logically it would be a subdomain for me, if it is a subsite.

a sub directory tells me im looking at a subsection of a different section of the same site.

Subdomains are treated as more independent I've noticed - search engines aren't as willing to switch between subdomains as they are subdirectories. Also, you can't use relative URLs with subdomains which is the biggest hinderance.
