Subbmission to Search Engines?

What is the best way to submit your site to search engines?

Or should you just wait and let it get picked up? I have some sites that I am still waiting to be picked up.

 

The major search engines will find you pretty easy, but if you need a list of over 300 second tier search engines that allow free submissions (as it may take them awhile to actually find you) here it is:

my experience, i dont submit my url..they just picked it up,,it only take up to 3 days for me,

 

Just link to the sites on famous forums and blogs and ull surely get indexed

 

I guess what Bohra said is effective. I can also suggest you to join and comment on some blogs and join a discussion on some forums like this with your website URL as your signature.

Thank you everyone. That list is amazing.

Considering some of the input I have had from people on the forums, with the bad weather here in the UK, I think I will spend the next few days just doing submissions doing manual submissions for my sites. I am also going to be re-building a server, arg, well it will be a good break think to do.

I don't think that submitting is a good idea .. just link to your website and be patient ..
