I have a recipes site for which i want to rank for each recipe published in my site.Suppose if my site is www.mysite.com and a top ranking or better ranking site for the same recipe is www.topsite.com,if i want to rank better than www.topsite.com for a recipe say corn soup........
my url for that recipe will be www.mysite.com/cornsoup.html.If the site www.topsite.com/cornsoup.html is ranking better than www.mysite.com/cornsoup.html....does it mean that it has more backlinks than my subpage www.mysite.com/cornsoup.html ??

1.If that is the case how should i get backlinks for each of my subpages.

2.When we get backlinks for the main page of website, its effect is not passed on to subpages?

2.Should we get more backlinks for each subpage of the site we want to rank for?Wont that be time consuming and tedious?

Help me i m really confused....

Related, one-way, quality backlinks to internal pages, it's the only way.

If you could give the URL our we could all take a closer look at your site to see any onsite optimisation that you can do to achieve higher rankings. Submit to directories, or pay someone to submit for you - in the B.S.T forum it's as cheap as chips to buy hundreds of submissions, using the URL and anchor text that you want to rank higher for ;)
