Sub Domains

    I belong to a service in which they give all of its members a subdomain on their host.

    I know that sub domains do not do well for seo purposes. If I would register a new domain name and purchase domain forwarding to this sub domain, will this help for seo purposes?

    only if it has type in traffic,, other wise, no it wont help much
