sub domain (or) sub directory what's the best for seo ??!!

I wanna to know the best choice is

subdomian.domanname.com

or

domainname.com/subdirectory

what is the best for SEO ??

any answers ??

 

It does not matter for SEO purposes. There was a time, years ago, where G seemed to consider a subdomain to be a completely different website. So links from the sub-domain to the domain were considered "external". That was an algo issue for G, which over time got fixed.

So, the real question is what is best for your visitors? I think it is also fair to base it on what is best for site maintenance. A subdomain is like having a separate website, with mail service, stats, and so on. It is not worth doing for just a few pages.

Both are fine for SEO. SEO depends upon site not on domain.

subdirectory is better as sub domain are considered as seperate domains by search engines.

 

Not as much as before. Now they are linked to the main site, but still separated

bz if you choose subdomain.domainname.com then google will treat as spearate domain and you'll nt get benefit of link juice from home page.

if you choose domainname.com/sub-directory then you'll get benefit of link juice from home page.

now its up to you.

 

i think it matters and i think subdirectory it's better. don't ask me why, cuz i don't know....i just heard it from a guy that makes a living out of seo.
