Hello All, I have a doubt, hope u guys can clarify it within few minutes as this DP has many hundred active users. For a same site can i host a domain in one place and sub domain in another place? Ex, http://www.example.com/ in US http://xyz.example.com/ in UK Is it possible?
yes you can. first set name servers e.g ns1,ns2 to your main website hosting server. then goto dns zone editor under your hosting account. ask them where it is if you didn't find it. then add A record pointing to the other hosting's IP Address e.g UK, and that's it. it has no negative impact on seo even. tell me if it work. i am working with it, like web-pk.com is hosted somewhere else, and help.web-pk.com is hosted somewhere else.
I've heard some people did it's successful, but in fact, I still don't suggest you to do that as you don't what problems you'll facing in future time. Whatever, you can do that if you need it.
