i am hosting my dishnews forum in my website's sub domain.
i found google search and back links are shared with both
    www.dishnews.medianetwork.co.in and www.medianetwork.co.in/dishnews.
[both of above are indexed in google]

is this affect my page rank?
If yes, how can i correct this?

Also i have submitted my forum to many directories under the url http://dishnews.medianetwork.co.in
Even after 7 months my forum still struggles to get meaningful page rank.

    The another question.
Within three months my sundth blog earns page rank '2'.
So far i have not submitted this blog to any directories or search engine.
How it earned page rank with very little number of back links?

Check the PR of the backlinks you have got... it only takes a couple of high PR links to bump up your PR :D (or thousands of low-PR links :( )

Make sure to use different content for both site, content wise both site looks identical, it will put bad affect from SEO point of view for your main site too.

    Hello,

I have heard that Google consider subdomain as a separate website! using subdomains is good for the main domain and on indexing it..

in the other hand, it doesn't affect it at all if it is banned or something!

    Regards,
