Looks stylish but imho, the blog post title could be clearer (lighter bg color), everything else looks good... perhaps even take out the pic of einstein (just inconsistent)
Haha, interesting design. Very Vista like for sure! You got the gradients and glossiness spot on Just a few things that I'm not too keen on - I think you should remove the white header area, and also the logo box. Instead, get your hands on an awesome header/logo, that goes well with the main background (hell, I'll design one for you myself if you've some cash to spare). Brings that uniqueness to the site, and generally header areas look better if they don't have too much contrast with the background (which the white box does at the moment). I don't think the... image is needed under the content. Lastly, the valid XHTML and CSS buttons stick out like a sore thumb. Get some different ones that go with the site colours, or just use text instead. Other than that the site looks great! Always easier to focus on the negatives Just start adding some content!
Excellent design but I think the content should be more of a focus than the visuals. Though they are important, at the end of the day it all comes down to the content you have on your site and presenting it in a likeable manner.
Good Vista like design, but you have some more work to do - post title is difficult to read. Post title should be eye catching. - content area is rather small. Your blog feels 'empty' on a screen bigger than 1024x768 - The header is too simple compared to the rest of the blog. - Remove the blue bar under the post. Doesn't fit too well in the design. (or only show it on the post page,not the main page. - Update your about page. - Difficult to review because you only have one post, but it looks like navigation is not so easy if you are going to have more than one page. - the Start button is nice, but you should add RSS subscription ON the main page, not inside the start menu. I almost missed it, so many readers will not subscribe because they are not going to find the RSS buttons. I hope this helps
