because I have 10 ips I cannot get ns2 to be the same ip as ns1 which it was when I first got vps.

I would like ns1 and ns2 to be the same ip but cannot find out where to force it.

I went round and round and its driven me madder than I was ;-)

    All help appreciated.
    Thanks

You should never have your nameservers on the same ip address. It causes issues. You should have ns1 and ns2 on two different ip's.

    Out of curiousity,
what is your point in having 2 nameservers on one ip?

When I first got the package it was set with one IP to both nameservers. This IP was then unavailable to any other accounts.

Funny the lack of documentation about nameservers. I tried a lot of places until I thought about the wealth of knowledge in here....

Thanks for the replies guys I guess its time to ask the datacenter. I was hoping not to look dumb to them but hey..
