I know this may be perceived to be a stupid noob question but what the heck, thats what forums are for 'learning' Anyways i was wondering whether having external links to decent reputated websites like google adsense increase page rank. I have a website which is not page ranked, then a page within the website with about 200 words text and a link to google adsense is ranked. I was wondering whether links to google, or any other websites improve your chances to increase page rank? Thanks Will.
Thats actually a good question, i know back links help, not sure about external though, I honestly dont think they do, but who knows. I look forward to an answer myself.
Some strange things were noticed that sites that were both in organic results (very high) and also in google AdWords for the same site dropped in organic results after removing the AdWords campaign for this site. I know it's not directly concerned with linking but we may rather consider that removing your link to Google (which was previously indexed by spider) "might" harm your PR/ranking. Of course this is only "evil" theory
I definitely agree.. Backlinks is the key for PR.... And linking to reputed sites wont help in increase of PR if not related....but if it is a related reputed sites maybe it can help....
Linking to reputed sites can help you climb in the Google SERPS. Working the opposite way with PR is a possibility, but I doubt it.
