I think it's a flooded market, and if you want to be really successful, you should come up with something unique and innovative.

if you can't come up with anything else and have nothing better to do, sure, why not. don't expect to get rich unless you have a very specific, unique way of promoting the site.

Like other websites you will have to promote it. If you are able to promote it good, it's a good business...

    can it work? yes.

is a really savvy marketer going to spend their time with these sites? almost definitely not unless they have a unique angle to enter the niche in or a unique strategy for promotion.

if you're just copying everyone else, don't expect to make a lot of money. not with flash games, not with any niche of site.

so what ideas do you sugest to make this kind of project unique??

I where thinking about adults games and puzzle games for breaks on the office.... also seting up a domain name with no game relations in order to bypass proxys; but honestly i'm not really cleaver in business models.... what do you think?

If you are going to do a flash game site i would suggest adding funny video, chat rooms and lots of games.

Another good idea might be to add flash greeting cards on the site also. Dont just restrict the site to flash games only.

    1. Avoid those game scripts.
    2. Focus on quality rather than quantity.
    3. If you have money, you should look into sponsoring/leasing games.

1 funny original game is worth more than all the generic game sites together.

Ask the guy who invented Mahjong =P

If you can create your own original games you should have good luck. Look at sites like teagames.com and Orisinal.com. They are two of the best flash game sites on the web.

I created a couple of original games several years ago and they still get good traffic but have slowly started showing up on arcade sites. I've kicked around the idea of an arcade site many times, but always end up with just adding a handful of selected games on my sites.

Can I have some of those "original games" to put on my site?

I'm working on the concept and the layout; but the problem is to be unique... kinda hard to be unique on the internet...
