Hello all, i am somewhat new here but here is my question. Is their actually classes that teaches SEO? or its something you learn on your own?
Well, there are seminars thru SES or PubCon or something similar, but largely you can learn on your own by reading. Just dedicate an hour or two a day to reading posts and articles by respected professionals and pick up on their techniques. http://www.seomoz.org is a good place to start.
The only stupid question is the one you didn't ask. I have to agree with skanxalot. I learned most of what I know by reading and asking questions in forums.
thanks for the quick response, I really do want to learn and seomoz does seem like a good place, I will get the reading now.... thanks again
Dave, you'll learn a lot right here on DP. Are you interested in seoing your own website? Or learning to help others? Either way, what you need to know is out there on the 'net already. Once you reach the watershed number of posts you'll be able to post a Web Review request, but in the meantime if you go through that thread you'll often see seo-related advice for specific sites which is a great way to learn. Welcome to DP, by the way
Hey welcome to DP, everything is right here. You can also google in search engine for SEO to learn more. Just browse around and you'll be fine .
If you can find free classes, then that's great...however don't pay for your classes or for "secret" ebooks being sold on the internet supposed to give you high PR. Just watch this forum, it is pretty useful and helpful.
If you consider the time it might take to prepare a class and how quickly things can change, I 'd say join every SEO forum you can find, google every SEO term you can think of, read everything you can and stay up-to-date. You will waste money and time with an organised course.
Best class to learn seo is WWW.GOOGLE.Com type in seo and you will get about 10000000000000 pages! If you can read few of them you could be a seo expert! or check www.seocraze.com for some info!
