So you're saying that China, Canada, Mexico, Sweden, Belgium, Japan etc. are withdrawn from the world? We didn't have ground troops on 2 fronts under Clinton. Much of the Balkan conflict was handled with air power. Enrollment is down, the war(s) are publicly very unpopular, we're borrowed to the hilt. Totally different scenario. Japan? Germany? The UK? C'mon now, you're not even being close to reasonable. Personal attacks and (genuine?) naivety? Have you not read through the impeachment case? Or watched the video record? Rumsfled, Cheney, Powell, AND BUSH. Please tell me you are kidding. Right, so by your logic, they're safer on the front line. Now that Britain has for all intents and purposes withdrawn their troops, are they now less safe? Maybe you're taking the urban legend that most accidents occur in the home a little too seriously. What exactly are the victory conditions in Iraq? When do the troops come home? Haven't we already passed Mission Accomplished 2 times? Hasn't the Coalition of the Billing disbanded and the troops returned to their home countries? I don't think you are familiar with Ron Paul's voting record. The "no" votes get a lot of attention, but he votes no to the very entitlements and spending increases you lament here daily. Are you familiar with his "yes" votes? Do you really believe Bush has been successful? Internationally, we've lost most of our prestige and reputation. He's increased the entitlement system and size of government, while adding $3 trillion to the national debt. The prescription drugs are exactly what you were complaining about the other day, claiming that we have to scale back such spending. I recommend you research Ron Paul's voting record. It likely mirrors much of the positions you claimed to have yesterday. I don't want to see world markets collapse, but how do you think people will get to work every day if we stop using foreign oil? The Pentagon ranks #46 in the world in a list of countries that use oil. Are you suggesting we all walk and ride bikes so that the war can carry on? I don't know what is going on with you, but you're really all over the place, with obvious logical errors in your response, and some contradictions of positions you have held on this forum as long as I can remember. Ron Paul is the perfect candidate for you Mia. He is the only candidate who has pushed to capture Bin Laden, and has promised to bring him to death or justice if he is elected. He's for cutting taxes, and spending. He's for free markets and small business. He's for education freedom, health freedom and a stronger and more modern military. He's the only Congressman I know that has foregone his pension, and voted against every pay increase for the government.
