hey i saw similar results too.... one of the posts of my blog got many stumbles and my traffic skyrocketed.....it went up by 1000 or so UV's.....and around 2200 pageviews.....on just one post in one day. see my pics and wallpapers blog.......hope you like it also.

You need to ask WHY they don't stay for long. In other words, WHY they are not interested in your website. Different content appeals to different audience. For example, I am pretty sure that most SU members are not interested in "making money online"... As for the "untargeted" stuff, did you know that SU scans your page's content for certain keywords? It IS targeted to some extent, but I cannot say "how targeted" the traffic is.
