Has anyone else been left high and dry, traffic wise from stumbleupon? I have over 300 pages with 400+ thumbsup and 20+ reviews each, a couple 5000+ fan networks, and I have not gotten any traffic from them in nearly 3 weeks. Is this happening to everyone or just me? and how do I end this bad streak?
I have only a few dozen pages on StumbleUpon and traffic trickles in every now and then, but not as much as it used to when I just joined them. Maybe it is just that SU traffic dies down after a while. Perhaps a little more aggressive promotion on SU may change the course of things. Just my 2 cents.
I really cant work out stumbleupon traffic. Sometimes i go days with no traffic and then out of nowhere i get 500 hits in one day, and then none the next day. The traffic is very erratic. -- Phil
My traffic is in bursts, 300, 0, 150, 3, 0, 4, 200, etc. I'll never understand but certainly better than nothing
Here is what I see (although I can't say whether it is fact or not...just an observation): That your site is stumbled and tagged as a main (top) category (including tags inputed by other stumblers) That your site has been stumbled, tagged, and reviewed by a stumbler who has many fans or PR Only a couple of observations. I actually receive decent traffic from SU consistently. Hint: I also try to ping my profile when I add a stumble.
Traffic from StumbleUpon is probably not that reliable as a form of longterm traffic for your online business. Maybe it is good for humor and such similar sites, but don't make it as one of your main sources of traffic. It probably is just not worth your time, but that all depends on how experienced you are with using it.
well i was averaging close to 3k visitors daily from su, then over the last 2 weeks i have had 9 visitors. i add close to 100 pages a week and get each one stumbled at least 50 times. populating major categories such as internet and business, along with a few specific categories. altogether between my fans and their fans, there are close to 300k people in this network. im starting to think R.I.P. stumbles, but, it was nice while it lasted, or maybe the stumblers arent stumbling that much anymore. ah well would like to see if anyone else is not getting anything out of stumble or if its just my bad luck.
In my experience I get great Stumble traffic for 5 to 7 days and then it tapers off. What I have also found is if I submit on a more regular basis the traffic seems to maintain itself because the pages piggy back off each other.
