    I've never really used Stumbleupon until I started my blog Internet Babel about a month ago.

    I've been getting like... a nice amount of traffic from it over the past week. Small but steady and it was contributing. Nice little surprise just now to log in to Awstats and see Stumbleupon had suddenly got me like an extra 200 uniques today. Guess people weren't kidding about the traffic potential :p

    I think it might be to do with my article I wrote yesterday - 100 ways to get traffic to your blog

    Stumbleupon = Nice!

    I hit around 4000 extra visits one day from SU. It can provide good traffic, but you need to know how to convert it.

    Yea I agree, I use stumble a lot now, brings in around 200-300 targeted uniques a day for me.

    I did a test once (as stated on my seo blog) and actually got 5000 uniques in under 12 hours and made it to the top of their internet category.

    Worth using!

    You can get alot of traffic fast but you need to find something to make money off it. that is the hard part people check site out and leave most of the time.

    Well, with an upcoming blog I don't think the primary focus should be to make money. Especially from large volumes of traffic. I think the sole goal should be to get people to subscribe. That's what will keep them viewing your blog over and over.

    Establishing a subscription base is key. Like Shoemoney said, the money should be the result. It's like a side-goal, the main goal for a blog should be to get people coming back.
