StumbleUpon Question

    I have a quick question:

On some websites that I stumble, I can click "I like it" and then go to a screen that allows me to add a review, etc. But on other sites I will click "I like it" and it will not allow me to do so.

Is there a setting that I have to change? Does this sound familiar? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

If you are the FIRST person to review a page, you can select all of the information you are reviewing.

You have to manually review the page if you are not the first. The third button (After the thumbs up and thumbs down) looks like a TALK BUBBLE icon, click that and you can review the pages manually.

How to use and abuse stumbleupon for maximum traffic

to go along with what Raithe said, if you are the first person then you DISCOVER that page, so you have to enter all the tags and information.

If you aren't the person to DISCOVER it, then it just adds it to your favorites.

Thanks for those answers guys! One last question:

are there any rules on stumbling your own blog posts? I did this a few times in the past, but after a while I was no longer able to do so; so I gave up on the whole stumble thing. Is there a reason that I was no longer allowed to stumble my own site?

Yes, stumbleupon catches on to what you are doing. So you need to spread out your stumbles from different URLS.

When I first started stumbleupon, I did the same thing. I went through stumbling all my squidoo lenses and after like 10 I couldn't stumble anymore. They have a system in place so you can't do that.

Just stumble a variety of things, and you will be fine.
