StumbleUpon Paid Discovery Optimization

I've started using StumbleUpon Paid Discovery. It seems really good, so far. However, my blog is about Buddhism. More importantly, a personal journey towards Buddhism, asking for feedback and advice from other Buddhists. None of the StumbleUpon users seem to want to comment, they all want to get something, not give something. How do I better optimize my content to increase user interaction? I don't just want them to read it, I want them to join in.

In my view, SU crowd is the surfing kind. They do not engage too much and will be content with reading (preferably viewing) something that will entertain them for a short period and then move along. So I really can't see what can you optimize here...

The obvious thing to do would be to have a CTA in the content asking for participation.

How do you even sign up for paid discovery? Every time I visit the page to sign up, it just says ad free tools to the website and nothing for anything for the paid discovery. No account for ads or discovery paid widgets to even get paid for.
