i just thought of something about stumbleupon since I was getting a lot of traffic from that site in the past 2 days I created a post http://www.ianfernando.com/2007/lets-stumbleupon-a-project as I have stated in my blog SU has provided me with great additional traffic, and I am doing an experiment on to see if it really does get me good targeted traffic. its a simply exchange concept that I saw from dosh dosh website
I got 344 unique visitors from that site on my general web directory because somebody from DP forum recomended me. I usually have 100 unique per day... that boost was really nice
that is cool someone recommended me 2 days ago about one of my post and that is why i got interested about it true any traffic is great! as long as its targeted
i got 60,000 uniques from stumbleupon for one of my sites last month i just check stats at stumbleupon and i have a few people subscribed to the pages i like who regularly stumble things they like that i stumble. i think its great and easy to build a fanbase for your site who know there way around the net and are likely to be members of other social networks and should have a blog or myspace profile where they can plug your content for more traffic and links. with all the social network users coming to your site its worth having social network vote icons in your content pages. its not rubbish traffic like some people say but it wont last forever.. using correct tags and listing in correct categories and using clean real not spammy descriptions can get some pretty good targetted traffic. you need to link directly to the content!!!! not your homepage obviously if your site does suck or the content sucks your not going to get people stumbling your site/page
munt, correct well so far that I have seen from my study is that its better to stumble directly to the content than the main page.
Stumbleupon is alright. One day it randomly decided to send over 200 visitors to my blog. That was a nice surprise.
