I wake up today to see that my unique visits are already double what they would usually be (and their still growing rapidly). I looked in wordpress stats and saw this: Referrer http://www.stumbleupon.com/refer.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fforthelose.org%2F Hits 240 Now I was glad as hell. Thing is, I didn't stumble any pages in my site, so I figured someone else did. I've spent the day trying to track down my submission or w/e it is on stumbleupon (never used this network). I figured it has to be easy to find, why am I getting all these hits? After hours of searching, I can't find any trace of my site on StumbleUpon. I'd like to find it to see what it consists of, when it was submitted, reviews / who submitted it. Etc... Help? lol (I've taken great liking to this and have also spent the morning adding digg and stumble buttons to my posts, lol)
Actually, I'm not done. It says that link was submitted on April 17th 2008. It's now July. I never got 1 hit from stumbleupon, but today I got over 300. Why today?
You never know these Social Bookmarking sites.. Tomorrow you may receive enough traffic to breakdown your server and the 0 traffic on the day after.
lol, I see that now... I'm just not getting how all these people are finding my site through stumbleupon, when I've spent a good part of the day looking for my site through their network, and, like, I'd expect it to be on the front page or something with the hits I'm getting, but it's not...
