Nothing is better than Google. While StumbleUpon can get you some instant traffic, it's not targeted. Such a traffic will only improve your Alexa rank which is pretty much useless. You might get a few clicks on your AdSense ads, but nothing major. Try to get organic traffic from Google that will convert much better.
so if anything SU traffice COSTS you money the bandwidth costs are greater than the ad revenue therefore you lose money!
Stumble traffic is crap. Try to get targeted visitors to your site through organic means, which will better translate in adsense earning
its not even worth your effort to try stumble upon. you get like 500 uniques in the first hour then its gone. dont even bother.
Not always. I've had stumbles that bring 10,000+ uniques over the course of a few days. That being said, the traffic isn't worth much...
If your article or whatever you stumble is a valuable resource, you will get backlinks. With backlinks you will get new visitors and increase your SERP rankings. You won't get almost any click through for adsense ads, but its well worth stumbling if you have a great web page you want to share.
great traffic but no profit the only profit is that probably the SEs appreciate a stumbleupon link (though it is no follow).
Digg is better compared to SU in terms of CTR.....but SU traffic can improve serp....if people tag your site with some good keywords

You're absolutely right. You can get 5-10k visitors from Stumbleupon but after that those visitors are gone. They won't come back to your site, because SU users check out at least 50 new sites per day.
If you want to get stumbleupon traffic in order to increase adsense earning, then you will be wasting you time. Traffic from social bookmarking sites do not convert.
