    Hi Folks:

One of my sites is getting hits from stumbleupon but I am not able to locate the exact story that's pointing to my website.

I have tried to search stumbleupon as well as google (site:www.stumbleupon.com) with keywords that could point to my site but I haven't been able to locate the refering page so far.

Google Analytics just shows refer.php in the refering page, does anyone know if there is a way to find the exact refering page in analytics?

    Install StumbleUpon toolbar
Just open your Page which is getting visits from stumble upon
and click on "reviews of the page" next to " send to " button on that toolbar
and u will be landed on perfect page :)

Using a counter or any log analysis will not be able to tell you where the stumble upon traffic is comming from because the stumble upon toolbar sends the traffic directly with no referrer information logged or passed. It is not really possible to find the source because that's how stumble upon works.
