I've been getting some traffic from the site in my title. Have any of you heard of them? Do any of you get traffic from them? Do any of you use them?

They have hugh volumes of site traffic .................. but like many of these type of sites ............................ the traffic may be of no use to you..............and maybe will just burn up your bandwidth and cost you green $$$ ...........linking to these type of sites needs planning with focus to try and get qualified traffic .................. not just any old traffic ................of which there is too much flying around on the net

Think before you hook up to these sources:)

I haven't paid them anything. I'm just getting traffic from them. Nothing huge, only 11 referels or so. I did see that they have campaigns and all that, but even after reading their site, I still can't figure out what the campaigns are all about.

Often, someone may bookmark it and pass it around or revisit it, it really depends. If you are struggling with bandwidth costs, then don't, but if you want some easy traffic, it doesn't hurt to try it out.

Got about 500 referals this month, it's a cool way to get free visitors. I agree with the previous post made by pjk ;)

Good site and a good idea. I'm a computer journalist, and I use Stumbleupon.com a lot to find sites which would make interesting stories.

I haven't posted any of my own pages, but I get traffic from the site anyway, because i've posted my profile.

    Cheers

How do I go about making a profile there? Is it like a social bookmarking site? Can anybody give more details here please.

    Thanks.

I've got about 400 visits so far from Stubleupon for my Online utility web site. Those visits are real , they are no fake since they are from different IP addresses. It seems it become more and more popular.

Computer professionals click rarely on adsense ads and most Stumbleupon users are computer professionals.

Also those traffic is mostly untargetted so if converts bad.

You have to download the extension for firefox first, after the download, restart firefox then click on the stumble! icon, it will direct you automatically to the sign up page. :p

StumbleUpon brings a good number of views to my main music site, and converts to clicks there. However on my business sites views are a lot lower and they don't convert to anything.

I ran an experiment through one of my sites with StumbleUpon. Nearly 4,000 visitors over a 2-3 week period, over 2,000 of those on the day that the site was submitted and at most 2 clicks on ads. The problem is as one of the earlier posters noted, they're just on the their way through....hit your site>>quick look>>click the stumble button and off again...

I get a few hits from Stumbleupon a one of my sites. If you publish something interesting and out of the ordinary, it's likely someone will eventually bookmark it

Yeah I used to be teamed up with them when they first started out. However now they are so busy we hardly talk. Their site has a few bugs such as long issues, and they do send real people to your site but as far as businesses wise it doesn't generate revenue. If you have a hobby site you are sure to gain members, but if you are trying to sell a product everyone will rate your site low just because they do not want to pay for anything.

If you have your own StumbleUpon account it's worth giving thumbs up votes to related sites, this means that the users you attract are more likely to have similar interest to your own and more likely to stay on your site longer.

    According to my observation,
most of those people just come and then immediately leave.

After trying out some modifications to the site, I found out that
it is easier to grasp their attention if the site is as simple as possible.

They tend to stay if your main page is really simple and shows one message.
If not, they just leave. They are too impatient for browsing your site because they can always click away to another interesting site.

I was impressed with Stumbleupon also, if you're site is good then you get decent traffic, if it's poor don't expect anything. Welcome to the future people ;)
