stumble upon SPAM!!!???

    Anyone heard of stumbleupon dot com? It's appeared in my refers list but I don't see my site mentioned there. Is this just SPAM?

    They are a pretty big site. Its not spam. They have a toolbar.

    It's not spam at all and can be a nice source of traffic. Stumblers give sites and pages the thumbs up or thumbs down, the more thumbs up you get the more visitors stumbleupon will send your way.

    Stumble Upon has been around for years and just recently got some major funding. If you are seeing traffic from them - be very happy!

    I installed the toolbar yesterday, stumbled upon my sites ;), voted for them and today got loads of traffic. :)

    Its not a spam.. I am getting 20% of the traffic from there!!! its great toolbar... Its just a click of a button named stumble.. and you can find numerous new webs.

    For a short moment, there were pretty huge traffic... but after a while, the traffic seems to have died off.....

    if people like your site well, then the traffic will die off a BIT but not completely.. i got around 20k uniques from stumbleupon a month in september, november and december... now still getting around 5k a month from them:)

    actually i do agree, the traffic is huge to start with, but dose not lasts! it dies pretty fast, not completely but then 80% of the traffic dies in a months time!

    anyways, i will keep stumbling, perhaps the traffic will again follow!:rolleyes:

    yeah but it wont last long - unless some of the visitors give you a thumbs up or other people stumble you again. got some traffic for 1 day or so, then everything was back to normal again.
    and i think this traffic dosnt converts very well - didnt got any signups, comments etc. on my site.
