I have not been able to find any suitable marketing strategies for my site (in signature), it is a gaming blog.

I was wondering if anyone has used stumble upon advertising.
Is it worth it? Any other suggestions for marketing my site?

    Thanks

It does not worth it. SU traffic does not convert well.

    Not sur eabout stumble marketing

    I tried it

and whilst it does bring a hell of alot of traffic to your site

    You will find that
    A. they do not convert well at all
    B. the Bounce rates and time on site from stumble are super high!

With a gaming blog its best to post in gaming forums and advertise there

I have tried it and at 20 Stumblers for $1, it was pretty steep. I threw $5 out there and promoted a post that I thought would take off, but it didn't. Stumblers have a green icon pop up on there toolbar if the stumble is a "paid for" site. It seems they bury those rather quickly.... It did seem like a good idea since you can "profile" those that will get your site (age restrictions, gender, interests, etc) $0.05 is a cheap amount to try it out on, but I just didn't see the return on the posts submitted.

I guess facebook advertising is a better choice than stumbleupon..it has less visitors and may be quality will not be in traffic.

I've had a few stumble upon visitors that actually became members of my websites, it mainly just depends on the niche, and what you've got going for you content wise.
