stumble subforum in the freebies section

I just looked around there if i could see a nice freebie (who doesn't :p) and nearly ALL threads are stumble exchanges.... I saw one other thread suggesting this, but there was no answer (only a discussion) and the thread was locked...

I second this....definitely should be a stumble section because other Freebies are getting buried by all the stumbles

It does seem like 90% of the threads in that forum are for either 'free' Diggs or 'free' Stumbles - quite a lot of them aren't really free either because they require reciprocation.

Stumble is not that big to have a seperate forum.

you can also just rename the forum to 'stumble exchange'. That's more on topic than freebies ;)

Was just about to make a topic about this.

The forum is just plagued with stumble topics which knocks any actually decent freebies off the top. I would suggest one topic made called "All stumbleupon requests here" and remove any separate topics. Maybe the rules should state that freebies means "Giving something away for free without expecting or asking for anything in return".

And that's just how many I could fit on my screen.

Anything to sort it out would be appreciated,
    Andy

Has been suggested 4 times before, though no actions has been yet taken.

Its not becoming very hard to find "Real" Freebies.

On the contrary, I think it is becoming hard. Of the 13 threads shown in the image above at least six of them, probably more, are Stumble exchanges - they aren't really free because they require a Stumble in return. Free, by definition, means you get something unconditionally. I think these threads are they're just a cheap attempt to harvest rep.

ah, sorry. I apologize, I meant

Its becoming very hard since 90% are stumbles.

Maybe a subforum for all social bookmark exchanges is a better idea...

Really just anything which is going to stop those topics polluting the freebies section.

Excellent suggestion Rubeina (and well volunteered :D) - since you're on the inside you can perhaps mention that to the boss.

Rubeina is correct, we need something like that, Freebies is only that now, no one is actually giving anything away for free literally.

No, there are free things but they are just stumble etc. i.e. all about social bookmarks.

Its long overdue. I think there should be a subforum for social bookmarks because a week ago it was full of diggs and now its stumble.

I'll throw my vote in on that. These Stumble exchanges have nothing to do with 'Freebies'. I think Rubeina's suggestion should be implemented with a very quick 'no breaks' policy on posting that crap in the freebies forum. Infractions for all of 'em!
