Instead of one chance at stardom you get 2, 3, 4? I even stumble my dugg news posts and popular propellorscape? posts. If stumbleing is wrong, i don't want to be right.

 

I am sure it can help but do not think it helps actual sites rank in any way.

 

Good way to get exposure to. Stumble the people who link to you, so More hits to you from their link!

It makes sense but seems like the same amount of time/effort you are putting into this could be channeled into something more productive and with longer term effects.

Actually, I've done the same thing - it didn't take any time or effort, and I think it's a bit of a 'thank you' to blogs that linked to me without my asking. How does it benefit me? Well, if people look at the link, they might click on it and go to my site.

 

I do this too, and not just stumble...I usually bookmark a page with my link to a dozen or so SB services. Makes sure it gets indexed, and is a nice way to say thank you as well.

 

This is a good tip, I also do this and see plenty of traffic.
