Stumble not what it used to be?

I remember a while back (6months perhaps) I got myself a few stumbles and got hundreds of uniques. Now no matter how many stumbles I get I don't seem to get much traffic from it. Does anybody have any idea why? Is this a universal thing or just something I'm seeing?

It all depends I guess. I tried getting stumbles for a site of mine, and I ran into the same problem as you.

On the other hand, I have a site who gets submitted to stumbleupon naturally, by the readers, and that still brings in tons of traffic. Maybe they figured out a way to see if the stumbles are natural or not..who knows ?

Well, I think StumbleUpon is much more exploited nowadays and that's why it's harder to get any traffic.
In my opinion their userbase didn't increase by much in this time.
On the contrary webmaster trying to get some traffic of StumbleUpon have at least doubled.

Completely agree, as a site gets bigger it gets more targeted by people who just want to manipulate the system. A good thing to do may be to look at future innovation sites and start trying to get hits from there services.
