Thanks for informing everyone of the site Cryogenius. :)

Btw in case you hadn't noticed I put in the ability to hide unwanted listings like you suggested. I will change the coding for it a little bit later today as some people seem to be having trouble with it (getting an "Unauthorized" message) but I hope you like it. :D

If anyone else has any suggestions please tell me and I'll consider them :)

    Hi,

Are you really considering reputation while assigning stumbles? I guess there are several passive users or reputation system is not working since my "Completed Exchanges" is too low compared to "Waiting For Others".

The reputation system will give people more motivation to actively stumble other people's sites. Currently there are some members who have signed up and are receiving stumbles although they're completely inactive themselves. This in my opinion isn't fair so the use of a reputation system to force people to be more active is a good idea. :)

Yes that is a good ideas and also should be integrated to a quality system. But as far as i understand from your description, it is not working now! (By the way, i thought a similar system when i saw first stumbleupon threads here.)

I know having a perfectly fair system is not so easy to code but simply you can keep a number (inernally kept in the system) between 0 an 1 for each user. And after each actions, you can decrease and increase this number.

After a certain bottom limit, you can show the user a message (to get more stumbles you need to stumble other sites!) . In fact based on that fraction, you can select which sites to show to the users!! This is the basic idea behind roulette selection in genetic algorithms.

Please avaluate this idea sicne the system is pretty useless in this state. I stumbled ~50 times and only could get 7 in return. This obviously unmotivates me and slow down the growth of the system!

Just a friendly suggestion! If you are late, someone can impleemnt this ;) :)

Other than this detail, your web site is very easy to use! Good luck again!

That's great - thanks. Does this feature hide the user or the URL? I think hiding the URL is better, so that when a user changes it in his userCP, it will be shown again to other users.

At present the hide link system hides the user. You have a valid point that it should only hide the url so that a new website would appear again if the user changes the url.

I will work on that later. First I need to get the reputation system going so people are motivated to stumble. :)

    darkhodge,
I like the system and i got some stumble from yoursite. But how can you track those people who cheat? and what does reputation mean?

There should be faq somewhere in the site also. *some suggestion*

I'm actually working on the FAQ as we speak, I'm doing other stuff to the site as well so that'll be up in the next couple of days.

Also what do you mean people who cheat? Please elaborate :)

The reputation system is a way of motivating people to be more active on stumbleXchange. If you have 0 RP, your listing will not appear in the stumble section. In the future I will make it so your RP decreases each time someone stumbles your site, and also decrease by 1 each day etc...
