It's not that he organized riot or called on any illegal action. It was a stupid question how come that he lost elections in spite off winning majority of votes and was he in sculls together with Bush.

For mods: I was sure that I was in politics when posting this, so sorry for that and pleas move it there if needed.

I'll have to watch the video later. The more idealistic, perhaps naive, part of me is surprised that this happened. The cynical side thinks this is just another example of just how controlling this country has become.

You're probably right. Youtube probably didn't show the part with him pulling out an Uzi and shooting out the lights in the ceiling.

Here is a little more of the beginning. He goes on a tyrade asking question after question blabbing about Clintons blowjob, not giving kerry a chance to speak and basically trying to take over the q&a.

throughout the ordeal he was rambling at high speed as if on crack.

    Free speech:

For example if I walk into a church service, take it over and start preaching my beliefs I'm pretty sure the folks there won't say; "oh hes just expressing his right to free speech"

Likely they will ask me to leave and If I don't? it might escalate.

And they didn't walk up to him while talking and shoot him....they tazered him after wrestling around for minutes.

    Just my opinion....

Im no Kerry fan and they probably overacted but....?

Pretty insane to taser someone in a democratic country where people alwayz have freedom and liberty to speech. Not at all expected at U.S.

Things aren't as rosey here as they have often been promoted. Especially with all the "war on terror" garbage. I know many countries have it worse. However, there does seem to be a lot more eccentric behavior in the US lately; both by individuals and the government. Maybe it's just the times we're in, people are reacting much more forcefully or passionately than they need.

I have to agree that he overdid it with his speech, but in that case it would be expected that campus security would escort him outside, not the police. That is why I see this as an unreasonable act of aggression on freedom of speech.

He deserved it. He kept rambling after his designated turn was over, then he resisted the cops.

No, I think that was excessive use of force. It could have been better handled by the police. Inciting a riot? Come on.

However, I think the kid was pretty worked up as well with his own ideas and didn't help the situation by not listening. Besides, Kerry was ready to answer the question. I'm curious what Kerry's response would have been. I wish the kid would have just said, "ok, I'll sit down and listen to the response". On the other hand, this wouldn't be news otherwise, so maybe he got what he wanted.

I still think the cops overreacted, but thats what these people do, they are just itching to arrest or tazer people in order to get a power trip.
    Cops are scum.
