Student Apartments/Dining/Roommates site for sale ...

    I am considering selling GoOffCampus.com for a downpayment on a house for my wife and soon to be 2 kids. I started this site while in college, and I feel that it is a distraction for me right now, as I have a good full time job and need to spend less time on the computer at night.

    As is, this site runs itself, and unless you want to add features, you dont have to spend any time on it to keep making what it is in revenue. You may get calls from time to time from apartment complex owners who pay for featured listings, but those are always good calls :)


    • 650 + uniques from Google per day
    • 1300 uniques per day
    • ~$430/month from Adsense , ~$300 per month from direct advertising
    • for keywords such as UNC Apartments (or any other College abbreviation) (also rentals, apartment, housing, off campus, condo, ect) the site normally ranks in the top 3 or 4... manytimes is number 1 or 2.
    • Currently working on a facebook app tied in to the site, and already have facebook login ability for users on the site.
    • Ratings for apartments (and dining/attractions) in the future, and a demo for that is already available for one university.
    • 6k pageviews per day
    • 2 DMOZ listings, PR4, Alexa of ~500k, lots of good backlinks, including .edu pages.

    The site has tons of potential, and the right person could really do great things with this site as it targets a lucrative demographic of college students.

    The stats and everything definitely check out.

    However, I am not "desperate" to sell, and consider 4k to be a low bid for this.

    I consider a legit, hands off, website such as this to be able to sell for 1.5 to 2x a years revenue.

    So, something in the 9-14k range would be more appropriate.
