Well, I've got my web design site, and the keyword I'm targetting is professional web design. Now, for the allinanchor search, my site comes up 9th, and for the allintext search I come up 8th. However, when it comes to the main search, guess where my site lands up. Wait for it.......724th! I have similar problems with my other sites, but not to this extreme. And, before you ask, yes I am using the ad-network, and that has got me this far.
I guess, at least with the ad-network now, things are so much easier than they were a year ago, where I had to go to every single site, sending emails and what not.
I won't do that ever again (I haven't done in a while now). The absolute worst bit of SEO. If it was 100% necessarry to get links like that, I'd employ someone to do it. It's the SEO equivilant of cold calling and I hate it.
Yeah, it is great being able to rely on the ad-network to provide backlinks instead of using up all that effort, especially as most of it goes ignored. I know, that when somebody just emails me about links, I ignore them.
Hello blueuniverse. >I guess, but when you have worked at it for like a year, patience starts to run thin. Hang in there. I'd be willing to bet that the sites ranking well have been at it much longer than that, so they have a head start.
Put the ads on your blueuniverse site with 53000+ pages to get the weight but point your ads at the new site
The thing is though, I've got loads of pages all over the site, but I can only use the ad network in one place it seems. Last time, my ads got rejected as there was already an account there, and the validation thing won't check it by default. Plus, I already have 125,000 weight split across 2 sites.
If the blueuniverse site does not have ads then you can use it - if you consolidate you can put all the weight in one basket and then distribute it through your own ads thu however many sites you like at whatever weighting you want
Yeah, there are only 300 pages in the main blueuniverse site, and these vary between php and html, so application may be a bit hard. I will probably give it a go, once I've completed the revamp to it though.
