How do you know you're stuck? There hasnt been a toolbar PR update since October or something.

Backlinks - the more you have the higher your PR will be. very simple. Go to the link sales section part of this forum and buy some links.

Buy 5-10 links from similar and PR6-8 pages, and wait until next pr update.

Pagerank is about inbound link only, from outer or inner-pages. If you need more PR then start to get one-way link from theme related sites and it will do you well for both PR and ranking.

Get as many as possible PR6 and higher. There are lot of people selling PR6-PR7 links. Better catch them.. :D

Don't worry about PR. Worry about rankings.

Of course PR plays a small part in determining rankings, but it comes well down the list of influential factors.

One very relevant link from a PR6 page should be enough over time.
Make sure that you keep that link though. Don't just buy it for a couple of months.
Also, search engines do take their time sometimes and can be a bit unpredictable. Make sure that you check that you check your existing backlinks for PR just to make sure it's not simply a 'sandbox' that you're stuck in.
TangoUK - It depends why you want a high PR - if you want to sell links on your page it is probably the most important thing at the moment.

1.Buy as many backlinks as you can , higher PR will help a lot.
2.Do link exchange with similar theme sites.
3.wait for next PR update :).

If you are still at PR4 repeat the process ;)

I would rather increase pr naturally rather than purchasing links on high pr pages. Because the links you buy are generally not permanent, or are they? I was under the impression that most of the time you had to pay monthly for the link. Is that correct? I certainly don't want to have to pay for links each month indefinately to maintain my pr. Especially since pr doesn't mean much as far as rankings go anyway. Just my thoughts.

    you can buy permanent links.

Its not mandatory , you can pay annualy or even u can buy a permanent links,Just do a little search and will find permanent links for sale.

its true, but if you have got higher PR you can also sell links on your site ;) .

I'm also stuck at pr4. I think the amount of links to my site has grown quite a bit, and I get a lot more visitors now than I ever have. Ive been at 4 for almost 2 years now though. I don't really feel like paying for links to get to 5, especially if its not going to do all that much for my site.

Build quality backlinks from high PR sites. Create an article about your site and article creation can help you increase PR according to other SEOs

apparently from another SEO guru, when interlinking in your site, use the full url as well i.e. http://www.yoursite.com/contact.html and not just "contact.html" with the anchor text and everything sorted with variations on each page (bit of work), but apparently it stands for something.
