advertisements in general, why sometimes they load, why one banner only shows on homepage, other routes etc
If you have the code inserted properly, you have no control on how ads provided by others ( ie: adsense, affiliate banners, etc) are displayed since they come form another server. IF you are hosting your own ads, its the same as inserting and image wrapped in a hyper link.
