Hey everyone. I'd just like to get my name out here; I'm Jake, a 14 year old kid currently working with 2 of my friends on a project called "www.TalkPrice.net". Though I am only 14, and my friends are both 15, we spend a lot of time researching new services and write reviews on them, as well as discussing ways of making money through blogging and domain techniques. Pretty much, our site is a way for people to learn a lot from our reviews and articles. We were getting a steady flow of 60-70 visitors per day for a while last month (we started this blog very early February), but we're kind of stuck around the 30 mark now, and many of those may be our own hits. I was just wondering if you all could do one of two/three things, all of which would be GREATLY appreciated. 1) Visit www.TalkPrice.net and click any link, just to give us a self-esteem boost (not really helpful but still...) 2) Visit www.TalkPrice.net, and read a few pages, maybe leave a comment or send us a message through the Contact form (which I coded myself!)...just give constructive criticism which will greatly help us in our next posts! 3) Visit www.TalkPrice.net and click on either of the "Subscribe" links in the top right corner - this is pretty helpful to us. 3b) If you're feeling extra generous...click on the "Donate" button! 4) Give us tips on how to expand our horizons, like how to get more visitors and suggestions for future articles. I know my post count isn't much yet, but I promise to become an active member of the community! Thanks a lot, Jake from www.TalkPrice.net
Just keep posting articles. You could submit to directories too, or comment on good blogs using your url as your website url (helps quite a bit)
I've been trying that, but it seemed to plateu me at around 70 visitors per month, it never really got higher than that (to the commenting part). Submitting to directories is going to be something I will try to do more and more! Thanks a lot for your feedback!
Are you using an inaccurate statistics program ? On a more serious note, you can't expect hundreds and thousands of visitors to come to your blog in one month. The Making Money Online niche is pretty saturated, and you will need something really, really good to draw the attention of visitors. Use social bookmarking sites ( Stumble, Digg, Reddit etc), post interesting comments, ask other site owners whether they would be interested in guest articles, start a contest, link exchanges etc.
Hehe, I sure hope my stat program isn't bad - BlogPatrol.com is what I use, any information about that? In response to your "more serious note," I never had that expectation - I'm just curious if there's any reasonable explanation to why I got less viewers this month than last. I know that Making Money Online has a TON of blogs in that niche, so I'm trying to mix it up with not only that, but also reviews of up-and-coming web services (I've reviewed hulu.com, Qtrax, etc.). I'm terrible at using those social bookmarking sites, but I guess I've gotta try! Thanks!
Did you submit your site to blog directories and rss feeds. Submit site to a few directories each week and try to submit to social bookmarks.
I'm still a bit unclear on which directories I should submit my blog to. Could anyone give me a few tips?
I think they mean article directories like articlefactory or article zine. You can visit my blog Bux Right Now dot Com to find some info, or we can even work something together. I am little older, I'm 16...
ArticleFactory or ArticleZine, got it! Thanks a lot! I'm gonna read your blog to try to find some right now Thanks!

Ryan, thanks a lot for your offer. However...I'm trying to find free ways of doing it for now. I'll keep your name in mind, though!
Yeah, I have found that my "make money online" site really did not get me much traffic and I really didn't have much to compete. When I completely changed my genre, things have been doing better. Not a lot, but def better.
Well, blogging is more of a hobby for me. I mean, my friends and I try to get a post up at least once a day and we work a lot on it, but we only work as hard as we do on it since it's on a topic we know and love. I mean, it's hard for 3 14-year old boys to write reviews on the best Cigarette/Beer companies, even though I'm sure it'd attract more traffic. Maybe when we get more free time, we'll make a separate branch of TalkPrice relating to something differently entirely, like TalkSports or something. We'll see ;P Thanks for your feedback!
I wish I would have started when I was 14. Keep up the good work. Having 3 people certianly can help spread the responsiblity. I'll check you guys out. Good Luck!
I think to gain visitor is first you have to be friends with the other bloggers who had the niche with you... to communicate them through commenting....
