Struggle with logo design

I'm starting to feel as if I struggle with logo/header design. I have previously just done website design/layouts.

I want to do logos etc but I can't draw at all, is this a problem? Just I see in alot of logo's little pictures which look very good. Are these drawn or got from stock websites etc?

    Thanks

    Hi mate,
Logo design doesnt need you to be an expert painter or so. The main core element in logo design is simplicity. Clients love their logo to be catchy rather than complicated. Coming to your point, if you cannot create great illustrations, you can use typography to your advantage. If you have images from which you wish to create logo elements, then you can use the Live Trace feature of illustrator and then modify it. Or else you can take readymade symbols in illustrator and then modify its color and other stuff to give it your own style. At last, I would recommend you to watch tutorials... If you are into Photoshop, then you can learn at adobewhatisit.com and if you know PS very well, then please have a look here goo.gl/WZrfD
    cheers

i suck at drawing and ive made quite a few logos lol. (that ive made money from)
logos should normally be pretty simple and easy for people to pick out. most are just some text with a little twist...

Majority of Logos are text only, its all about finding a good combination of colour, font and font style and positioning. Sometimes a simple image next to the text will help it look abit nicer, but its not needed if the text is done right.

Give an example of a logo that you said was nice and may have been taken from stock images, it's usually pretty easy to tell :)

First search out logo design concepts on internet, then try to think on it and customize it your way.

Do not lose heart and change your mind.If you think your logo looks good then it is good.Always judge from your point of view.

I don't see any relationship between logo designer & artist
their are tons of stock images for your use so whats the pointing to reinventing the wheel
Just a good combination of colors and font family will give you a good logo

    *I am not an expert!
