    Hi guys.

As many of you may know i'm 36. I sport alot, bodyboarding a few times a week, and i have a cool life. Work at home, relax and amost nothing bothers me.

Yesterday night i went to bed as usual. Slep for 8 hours. Today i woke up at 9.00.

When i woke up i had a strange pain in my chest. I remembered that while surfing this week i had a stronge pain in same place, my heart. I got worried. At 12.00 the pain kept pushing me. I called a medical hotline and they sended me to local hospital. I was there for 5 hours doing all kind of tests. At the end doctors told me i have a normal heart and my health is normal. Maybe this was caused by a weird position while sleeping, they said. But my family has a long history of heart attacks and strokes.

I'm medicated and relaxing at home right now. The pain is going away, but i feel the same pressure above my chest, left side.

Man, i look at my kids and my wife and is disturbing. A friend of our just passed away 1 year ago with a heart attack. He was 38.

    This is scary shit.

Use internet less and go outside more. Make exercises and eat fruits and vegetables.

Avoid Colas and heavy oily stuff.
Check your weight - Is it average?

If your over weight and you eat alot of Junk food - This pain is because of them.
Try staying on fruits, veggies, non fried and do yoga(just for 30-45 mins a day)
Avoid Non Veg, Oily foods,Drinks,Smoking.. You know.. all the unhealthy stuff..

I'm not a doctor, better consult a doctor before following my advice, lol

    Get Well Soon! :)

    I wouldn't suggest you running,
As far as I have seen.. people with a Chest Pain don't Run..
Even if your running.. Don't run more than 1/2 KM (I would suggest that)
Don't know, Still consult your doctor..

Where in your chest was it? Left or right side? Or middle I guess?

Could have been indigestion if it wasn't that bad pain (although i'm assuming it was pretty bad pain for you to go to the doctor).
Your heart is normal so thats all good :D

Could have been caused by being over stressed? I used to have chest pains but got rid of them by taking garlic, I had bad cholesterol from eating the wrong type of foods.

If it will help to ease your mind a bit I have a similar issue with sharp stabbin chest pains, and as it turns out I have a torn bit of cartilege in my ribcage that frequently digs into the muscles causing excrucating pain and makes me scared to death that I'm going to die. However, a few tests and scans show that my heart is fine, and I'm just suffering from muscle pains. You may be dealing with something similar. The time to really start worrying is if you have rapid breathing, dizziness or pain in your leaft arm. Then it probably is a lot more serious.

There are many things that cause chest pain so don't be quick to worry if your tests are fine. Overweight is a major factor as far as i know.
