Recently I've encountered design and marketing clients that, once they hired me they all of a sudden became experts in my field and began requesting web development practices that would obviously be counterproductive to what they want me to accomplish for them. For example. They all of a sudden want a busy background added to their site or use an obscure font that wouldn't be pleasing to the end user, but THEY like it. Hoe do you handle a client like this. Do you waste your time accommodating their skewed perceptions of what is best for them or do you be forcefull their best interest. Anologically, would a home builder build the walls with something outrageously impractical like paper mache if the client thinks it would look good.
