Glad you asked, I was thinken something else...that makes sense now and verifies Rob's crazyness! I've never heard the term before .
My husband and a mate went to a bar to watch the rugby one night and ended up going into town to a strip club. I've decreed that skanky and he's not allowed to go unless there are 4+ guys and preferrably on an official boys night out. I think he'd be offended if I made regular visits, though. Good thing we have Andrea's photo album! Strippers are obligatory for any pre-wedding bash (bride or groom). Just after I met my husband, and were still in the early days we went to "the church" in London where you drink too much, watch strippers and generally misbehave on a sunday morning. I got dragged up on stage and 'im-indoors still dines out on it - only his version is greatly exaggerated.
nah her name was alana never met her before, she looked around 24-ish you can go to the wedding with me next weekend and see her for youself
argh I dont like kim though.... =( Also will I be required to River Dance like fricking other weddings...... ? I guess it was funnier when i was 420lbs. ALSO next weekend is the last before havokfest so i need to hang with the wifey </insidejokes>
Hodged and others who have known strippers Have a young friend (18) and her parents were staying last night. She's just taken a bar job in a strip joint and her Mum wanted to know our opinion. She has a huge student loan and the pay is great. Our feeling is that it won't be long before she's looking at the dancers and thinking "I can do better than that" (and she'd be right). She's studying acting and wants an acting career. Stripping just doesn't seem like the sort of thing she should have on her resume. My instinct was to get her away from the whole scene asap. Over reaction? or not?
I think that the girls who become strippers do so for reason that go beyond money. Attention and all that. If she wants to become a stripper, she will regardless. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
A lot of strippers start off working as bartenders or waitresses. A large percentage of strippers get into heavy drinking, which leads to drugs because it’s so readily available. About the only acting a stripper is going to get is in porn. I work with actresses quite a bit, and I can tell you that people don’t have a lot of respect for people that come from a stripping environment. If she keeps working there even as a bartender it will kill her acting career. The only good thing is it’s the most money a young woman without a lot of skills can make a lot of money. I do agree with MD. I dated a girl one time that said she thought about being a stripper, but decided not to because she would have become a huge whore because of all the strippers and all the guys that desire them.
Nothing wrong with being a stripper or prostitute. You can look at it from both sides. I went through a phase of strip clubs and prostitution and the only thing that was hurt was my wallet. It's necessary for (some) guys but it definatly dosen't mean there should be any disrespect in the transaction. I'd rather have sex with a prositute than give some BS to a woman just to sleep with her and give some lame excuse the next day why I don't want to see her again. Who's degraded really the prostitute or the john?
Of course it would (concern me), but if my daughter did chose that profession, I definately wouldn't alienate her.
