Stressed out about US politics.

Hey guys, I've been a little stressed lately about the elections. I really think that Kucinich would be a good guy for our country but I'm just scared that he won't even win in the primary. Not enough people are following him and I just don't understand why they aren't.

I'm petrified that Ron Paul could win and do away with our Department of Education like he's promised, withdraw from the UN like he's promised and a few other things such as get rid of taxes altogether (such as progressive taxes) and completely get our countries income from sales tax. I think this is a bad idea. And yeah! I think taxes should be raised, but only progressive taxes (ie. the poor pay less money and the rich pay a little bit more... I mean without the great country of the US, the rich may not be rich at all.)

I'm scared that the FDA will be rid of and after all these things happen, there will be no government agency to take care of the ones who are having a hard time. I am not having a hard time in my life now but who knows... what if? I am fine paying taxes for those who are going through hard times now. Why do people have such a hard time with the word taxes? When taxes go up, people all of a sudden think they are part of the group that are being taxed more... but progressive taxes mostly tax the ones who can afford it.

I'm just scared that in the next four years our country could change for the worse with someone like Ron Paul when they could change for the better with Dennis Kucinich.

Sales tax handles all of it, the more one consumes the more taxes one pays. It's bulletproof.

The rich can avoid taxes under the current system precicely because there are so many taxes and the system is overly complicated and therefore the rich can hire accountants and tax lawyers to rip off the system.

How ridiculous: people go to college for years to learn how to avoid taxes.

One sales tax solves it all.

I wouldn't stress too much. It's rather unlikely that Ron Paul will win. And I have to agree with you about Kucinich, he is the most honest, level-headed candidate of the whole lot.

I agree 100%, that's the only tax I see as fair... Maybe property tax too, but definitely not income tax...

How does it makes to tax someone for working hard, as opposed to taxing someone for spending big money?

If you find someone to bet against you, let me know, I was the same action :)
