streaming videos and reducing file size

I'm on vacation all month for my brother's wedding and of course thats when one of my clients needs 4 videos added to their website ASAP. All 4 videos are pretty big files ranging from 5mb to 83mb. I want to reduce their file size and then add them to the site. I think it would work best if they were streamed. I have only ever worked with much smaller videos that didn't require streaming.

The server is a standard server, no special video capabilities.

I'm looking for suggestions of what software to use to reduce file size (I have originals in .mov, .wmv and .avi formats) and the best approach to stream the videos on the server.

I'd normally do most of this research myself, but I'm on vacation...I'd rather be surfing and drinking...

    Help is appreciated :)

    Thanks,
    Chris

You can try this that i found very helpful for preparing files for streaming (flash video format) - Riva FLV Encoder - http://www.rivavx.com/?encoder
It's free and easy to use.
