I would like ideas on what you think of following idea, I think it's good, would like comments. Buy 1,000 domains, part on dedicated server. Hold for 1 year, during that year build links to domains by writing good content getting anchor text links for main keyword for the website domain. Example: orlandorealestate.com , and then write articles also about orlando real estate with anchor text, submit this site to article directories and web directories, try to get 500+ links, get PR4 then sell. Hopefully in during that time you get some traffic like and make few bucks on google ad's, but main profit is when you go to sell. But how easy is it to sell these sites? Are their averages what these sites sell for?
then you could do better things with it than to invest into domains for 1 year. but if you do - keep them getting fat for 2-3 years at least.. buyer will be interested to know how domain did.... your answer will be? "mmmmmm $1.38/month" think bigger. and not about money. Imagine yourself as a teacher of web marketing. take 2 groups up to 20 people in each. Give them a domain and teaching them affiliate marketing, branding , SEO... you'll have fun teaching, make some money for their school (because you cannot pay them if they are under 18) and everyone will be happier. but if you think strictly $$ i doubt you'll succeed </div>
