Oddest thing happened to me this week..... I'm not complaining... not at all... but I am baffled. One of my email accounts was getting spammed like crazy. Sometimes it would get 50 or more spam messages a day. I've wanted to delete/change the account for sometime, but I'd get an occasional business-related mail in there so I never did. And... just this week.... it stopped getting spam messages. I didn't change email filters or anything. There's no messages going into deleted items or junk mail. And only good email seems to appear now. You don't think all 50 spams per day came from ONE spammer, do you? And... if so,... do you think he stopped? Peculiar. Good. But peculiar.
Maybe its getting ready to spam HEAVILY this time J/K... be careful when you register sites. don' give them your regular emails. Make one and start registering. Digital
Lol! Yeah, I guess that must be him! It would explain why he stopped spamming me. To answer people above-- no, it wasn't a free account. It was an account I've had for five + years. And, yes, I did register domains with it.
Looks pretty good to me... right now I have 2,393 spam emails in my Gmail account.... lol. Of course, I forward email there from like 7 different account, so that makes it a little less impressive...
I recently set up a catchall on my Google Apps account just out of curiosity. I got about 200 spam messages per day, mostly to email accounts that have never existed. However there were some accounts I canceled years ago because they were receiving too much spam, but they are hardly receiving any now. I guess spammers come and go and so too do their email lists. I can't wait for the day that spam is illegal here as it is in the UK.
