strangeness after adding SSI

Ok, i just made my sidebar a SSI. it's basic text, works fine, everything looked great. However, now when i try to go to my page (i'm using IE) from a link (such as my sig) it asks me to save the file. any idea why?


edit: and my php doesn't work (co op ads, RSS feed)

I went through and took out the include for the index page, and it still doesn't work, unless i type in index.html when i'm browsing, but the php doesn't work. Could it be becuase i'm trying to parse all .html files?

 

Browsers do this only if your content-type isn't one of the viewable types (e.g. text/html, text/plain, etc).

i switched the site back to before the includes, so now it's working. but i did not change the file type, it was still just an .html document

 

I tried the link in your signature and my browser didn't prompt me to save the result (neither IE nor FF). If this is not the link you tested, you can PM me the one that isn't working and I will be able to tell you what's wrong.

I changed them back to without the SSI, didn't want a broken site. I can do another test though and pm that to you tomorrow. thanks for your help

 

did you try looking for php nuke? i've used that and it works great.
