At first I thought a drop in rank was from Google updates. But now I see that it is only one of my pages (the home page) that has been affected. Now it is still in the ranks and in top 10 for most words but I have seen a drop in the serps for ALL keywords pointing to it. Remind me...is it normal for Google to drop a page down in the serps for ALL the keywords while leaving the other pages alone during an update or is this a penalty?
Leave it, It will be reinstated Soon Dont panic, Pages would be bring more traffic than homepage unless its concentrated on something I hope it would be so. Thanks.
I can confirm this is a normal. Your website could be recovered in a soon for a dropping pattern like this. I am saying this based on my experiences and not a fact or proven documents. You can correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks guys. I am still not seeing the full recovery but it is still bouncing...at least it is not staying down. Funny but I knew from past experience that this was normal but every time it happens I go nuts. Expect me to go nuts once a month lol. It's like my own personal gms (Google menstrual syndrome).
There has been a change in the Google algorithms...it seems that ranking will be getting better for long tail keywords......and the other may go down and stay down....
usually normal as long as you don't do anything that is against google you don't have to worry about..
The same thing happen to my home page also. I was ranking for some keywords on the first page of Google and today I fond them on the 8th page. Just hooping that It will return to the normal state.
Google is tweaking his algo currently. In these times that kind of weird things are happening often. However, no one can guaranty the 'get back' scenario, of course. Too many factors play a role on your website side and also on the google algo side.
This is caused from the google algorithm update, and it looks to be permanent. But not the home page keyword meters, every page is important.
