Strange Yahoo results...

    My main site has been penalized since the beginning of May in Yahoo and not ranking for anything at all.

    I just checked all my keywords using the yahoo Keyword Tracker and to my astonishment I have many top10 rankings again!

    Offcourse this made me very, very happy and decided to manually check them in Yahoo. Bummer, still not ranking for anything...

    So my question really is, where does the Keyword Tracker gets its results from??

    And does anybody know if these results are old results or future results. If they are old, they are more than 7 weeks old and if they are from the future I am a very, very happy chap!!

    Do you know if the API results are older than regular results or newer?

    Just figured out what may be causing this irregularity...

    Because I was penalized I removed the url to the advanced usage script. When there is no link to that file, I have top10 rankings.

    If I fill in the url to the script, I am not ranking at all.

    Still don't really understand it, but this is what I came up with....

    Can somebody please do a little test for to see what ranking I have with Yahoo for the following in the Keword Tracker.

    URL: http://www.hotelalliances.com
    Keyword: discount seoul hotels

    As I am still seeing at nr1 in the Tracker and not at all in regular Yahoo search.

    OK, did some more testing and the problem defenitaly lies with NOT using the advanced script while checking the rankings for Yahoo.

    So the question now is, where do the results come from if you are NOT using the advanced script. That and how old/new those results are.

    MSN and Yahoo results only work with the script.

    Can you than explain what you see in the attached image?

    Please do a test and see what position I am in with and without the script, as I am really puzzled now....

    Without the script it will simply report where you are at with Google.

    I have been having the same problem ..It damages my business..
    Different computers have been showing different results on Yahoo, and it has been changing last 7 days... I need to know the final rankings to take some action...
    Yahoo has been placing its directory results on top spots on some search terms.. :(

    It is not easy to explain what is going on to my clients...
