Saturday I started a proxy website. That day i did not receive many visits because the DNS names took some time to get updated and also it took some time for the new proxy to get accepted in some directories. On Sunday it was the first active day and got some visitors, 22 to be exact, most from DP, my Blog (where I wrote about it), of the directories I have submitted it and another two or three forums where I posted it. The strange thing is in today stats. Right now, when I viewed my Analytics stats for the blog I was surprised to have 42% (14 visits) of the visits as direct source (no referral from other website, not even search engine). My question is: how can a two day website have such a big percent of Direct visits? Everywhere I posted the link I made sure it was clickebale so the user didn't have to copy->paste the URL. P.S. any help in marketing the site is welcomed.
