Strange Sales Patterns

This subject has probably cropped up many times but the last couple of months I have been making many regular sales a week. For this week there has been nothing but yet the same amount of hops etc, even more. Actually the hops and traffic has been greater this week too.

Really strange, I don't think there can be an explanation though but you would think that the law of averages would make sales on a regular basis.

This happened to me for a few days then I discovered my Paypal buttons had stopped working. I had to change the code which took me forever. Thankfully sales are now back to normal.

Right, you have a Clickbank product then with website? I just promote many products so everything should be working in theory...

No I don't use Clickbank. I use Paypal for payments and Payloadz for automatic digital delivery of my products. I get the button codes from Payloadz and this is where I think the problem lay as this code was changed slightly. I previously had an email from Paypal to say they were changing their buttons but it would be done automatically so I would not need to do anything. Obviously Payloadz didn't work that way.

There are fluctuations in all markets, sales, etc. The general decline in sales can also be attributed to decline in the economy, when everyone gets their $600 checks I'm sure people will hold off on their CB complaints for a couple weeks :)

Don't beat yourself up too much on this. I have been posting this in other threads and it is not normal. Yes sales drop over xmas and summer months but I have been doing this for 10 years and have not seen deviations this extreme where sales have dropped for one particular merchant when the traffic has remained the same while coming in on the same searches. Looking at my stats there is like gaping holes. My other affiliate stuff is converting at expected levels for this time of year.

I think it really depends on yor niches guys, some products are gonna sell better than others at certain times of the year!! So I wouldnt pull the "Its clickbanks fault" too quick.
