Strange results

    I have noticed a new competitor in my niche is ranking above me in google for one of my main keywords, yet when I visit the site it is very basic, also google and yahoo are both showing no backlinks, how is this possible, the site has 9 pages compared to my 650, it is depressing when a new site goes above you with seemingy little effort, any ideas guys

    ^^^ as he said in the original post, the site is not having/showing any relevant backlinks at all. Its just a newbie effect, once my site was placed about apple.com for iPhone lol :-D
